Notice on Summer Break Dormitory Housing Application for Undergraduate Students (Academic Year 115)

Based on: Regulations for Student Dormitory Winter and Summer Break Housing

Announcements

1. Application Information

   (1) Dormitories Open for Summer Housing:

   • Male Students: A3 Dormitory · Female Students: F Dormitory

     (2) Application and Payment Period: From April 27, 115 (Mon.) to May 15, 115 (Fri.) at 16:00.

     (3) Announcement of Summer Housing Bed Assignments: May 26, 115 (Tue.)

     (4) Summer Housing Period:

     From June 28, 115 (Sun.) to August 26, 115 (Wed.), totaling 60 days.
     Students must check out of summer housing before 10:00 AM on August 26.

     After returning to their assigned beds for the following semester, students may continue staying in the dormitory until the official move-in date of the new semester (approximately 10 additional days).
     Total duration: 70 days.

     (5) Fee Calculation: Housing fees are calculated at NT$64 per person per day(NT$7,955 semester fee excluding cleaning fee ÷ 124 days).

     Regardless of the number of days applied, all applicants must pay:

   • NT$4,480 (for 70 days) · Deposit: NT$500 (including NT$120 for key, NT$300 for cleaning restoration, and potential public property damage)Total: NT$4,980
   • Air-conditioning cards must be purchased separately at the Mail Center. Unused balance may be refunded upon application.
   • Cleaning fees are not included; students are responsible for maintaining cleanliness.

     (6) Payment Instructions:

     1. Applications are processed by class. Class representatives are requested to collect all application forms and fees, complete the class summer housing roster, and submit it for departmental review.
        After approval, class representatives must make a group payment at the Cashier Section.

        Before May 15, 115 (Fri.) at 16:00, submit:

   • Original individual application forms · The class roster stamped by the Cashier Section

     to the Dormitory Service Center for bed assignment. Late submissions will not be accepted.

     1. Students from low-income households are exempt from housing fees but must still pay the NT$500 deposit.For privacy reasons, they may submit applications individually without going through the class representative.Applications must be completed and submitted to the Dormitory Service Center before the deadline.
   • A deduction of 1 dormitory point will apply. · No refunds (including housing fees and deposit) will be given for late applications.

2. Student Support ：Department chairs and academic advisors are encouraged to provide periodic care and support to students residing in the dormitory during the summer break.
3. Forms and Regulations：Summer housing regulations, student application forms, and class rosters can be downloaded from: Office of Student Affairs Website → Forms Download → Student Dormitory → Dormitory Forms
4. Maintenance ：NoticeDuring the summer break, dormitories will undergo electrical and water system inspections, maintenance work, and comprehensive cleaning by professional cleaning services (schedule to be announced separately).
   Students who cannot accept this arrangement are advised not to apply.
5. Withdrawal Policy

   Students who need to withdraw from summer housing due to special reasons must apply to the Dormitory Service Center before June 26, 115 (Fri.).

The Legislative Yuan, in 2025, passed the third reading of the amendment to the "Act on Commemorative Days and Holidays," officially designating May 1st, Labor Day, as a national public holiday with a unified day off.

All faculty, staff, and students of Yuntech are exempt from attendance on this day. Please take note.
